Artist Statement

My practice begins with a simple question: how do spaces shape the way we perceive ourselves and others?

Through painting, I investigate the relationship between individuals and the environments they inhabit. I am interested in spaces that exist in states of transition-between public and private, memory and reality, order and uncertainty. These spaces are not merely backgrounds for human activity; they actively participate in the formation of perception, emotion, and identity.

Drawing from everyday observations, urban experiences, historical references, and philosophical thought, I construct paintings that blur the boundary between the familiar and the imagined. Figures, objects, and architectural elements coexist within fluid spatial structures where multiple temporalities and perspectives intersect.

Influenced by Chinese cultural traditions and contemporary philosophy, particularly the writings of Gilles Deleuze, I approach painting as a process of becoming rather than representation. The work is less concerned with depicting fixed realities than with revealing the invisible relationships and forces that continuously shape our experience of the world.

Through these paintings, I hope to create spaces of reflection-places where viewers may encounter uncertainty, possibility, and new ways of seeing.
